Roll out your mats, Nevada County—community yoga is making its much-awaited return! Starting Saturday, July 5th, the Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City will once again offer free weekly yoga classes designed for all levels, welcoming anyone ages 16 and up.

Led by Grace Kendrick, a beloved local yoga instructor and certified Ayurveda specialist, each session promises an inclusive space to stretch, breathe, and find balance. Grace brings with her years of rich experience, from teaching at renowned yoga institutes to owning Grass Valley Yoga. She’s passionate about creating community connections through mindful practice and shared wellness.
Grace beautifully captures the essence of these gatherings:
“This community class is a refreshing reminder of the importance of our collective intentions and strength. It is so wonderful to gather together from all our different paths to breathe, stretch, and practice being present for ourselves and each other.”
Don’t worry if you’re new or don’t own yoga gear yet—bring your mat, blankets, or any yoga props you love. If you’re just getting started, there’ll be a limited supply of mats and straps on hand, so you’re covered either way!
