Owned and operated by Bonner Murphy and her daughter Rowan, Treatery isn’t just about baking delicious treats—it’s about embracing life’s sweet moments and inspiring others to chase their dreams despite life’s challenges.

Based in Auburn, Treatery operates out of a cozy home kitchen, where each treat is made by hand with care. Rowan is the creative force behind every cookie, cake, and pastry that Treatery offers. For her, baking is more than a craft—it’s a form of creative expression and a way to spread joy to those who savor her creations. From the first crack of an egg to the final sprinkle of sugar, Rowan pours heart and creativity into every batch.

The Treatery menu offers a delectable variety sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Cookies are sold by the two dozen, with many irresistible flavors including: hot chocolate, s’mores, and white chocolate peppermint. Bars, brownies, and scones come by the dozen and feature mouthwatering options such as: mixed berry, lemon poppyseed, and mocha chocolate chip. Rowan also crafts beautiful Bundt cakes, cupcakes, biscotti, and fudge—each treat as delightful as the next.

Rowan’s journey into the world of baking is nothing short of inspiring. At birth, Rowan’s umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck which caused oxygen deprivation resulting in brain damage. At the time, doctors advised that Rowan would likely never progress beyond a third-grade level. Yet Rowan defied those predictions, surpassing expectations in every aspect of her life.

She pursued floral arranging for three years through the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program, raised Champion breeding Herefords and show steers, and proudly served as both AgFest Queen and the California-Nevada Hereford Queen during high school. These experiences, combined with her determination and creativity, have shaped her into the confident entrepreneur she is today.

Treatery’s mission reflects Rowan’s incredible journey: to provide delicious, handcrafted treats and inspire others to pursue their dreams, no matter the obstacles. Every cookie, cake, and pastry is made with love, care, and a sprinkle of perseverance. As Bonner likes to say, “Together, we can make the world a little sweeter—one bite at a time.”
