As a mom of three kids, three dogs, and a few mischievous cats, I often find myself caught in an endless loop of cleaning. It’s a daily battle against dirty clothes, overflowing laundry baskets, and the aftermath of snack time. Add in my loving husband with all his projects, and you can imagine the whirlwind that is our household!
Daily, I tackle household chores that include:
- Picking up dirty clothes from the kids floor (how do they multiply?)
- Washing dishes—the endless piles of dishes
- Cleaning all the floors in the house (more on this later)
- Prepping/planning meals to keep everyone fed and happy
Once those are done, I can start on my to-do list. It has various projects on it ranging from hanging up photos around the house to finally completing the stone wall in the front yard. It can feel daunting, but I’ve mostly learned to embrace the rhythm of it all.
Recently, I discovered a fantastic mop and bucket set that has made my cleaning process so much quicker and easier. This inexpensive household essential has become my new best friend. I love that I can easily wring out the mop without getting my hands wet. The microfiber pad picks up dirt like a champ and is machine washable, which makes maintenance a breeze!

Between diaper changes and feedings with my youngest, I can quickly mop the floors with ease using this. In fact, I can even hold my 10 week old and mop at the same time, due to the hands-free wringer. This is a must have for any busy family who needs to clean fast and efficiently.
With three kids and numerous pets, you can imagine how quickly things can get messy. But I’ve found ways to make these tasks more enjoyable.
- Playing my favorite playlists on Spotify transforms the mundane chores into mini dance parties!
- Putting a “background noise” show on Netflix gives me the chance to take little breaks without the risk of stopping chores completely
- Timing myself to see how quickly I can finish everyday tasks (bonus family fun: pick a chore everyone can do, each person does said chore one day of the week while timing themselves, whoever has the best time gets to pick Friday night dinner.)
I’m grateful to have a house to call home, filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. The cleaning may never truly end, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s a small price to pay for a house that’s alive with playfulness and joy. After all, these messes mean memories are being made, and that makes every chore worth it!
So, to all the busy parents out there juggling life’s demands, hold your head high and embrace the chaos. We’re creating beautiful memories daily, and in this whirlwind of family life, a little mess is a sign that we’re doing something right.
